It was almost 10 o'clock when I got home from chairing a school governors' meeting - my last one as I'm stand down at the end of this term. It's been a long day with 3 hours at the dentist and the England World Cup game to survive. I went out into the back garden to close the gate - it was warm, still evening at the end of a lovely summer day - and I saw the moon above the roses in this deep blue sky - it looked as if it was hanging on the telephone wire.
Oh wow! I didn't notice that until I read your note and went back to look. That's even better! Isn't this the loveliest time of year? We, too, have those indigo twilight hours, and I've admonished myself for not taking more pictures of it. So glad you got this exceptional one!
Aha, so that's how it stays up there!! Looks so lovely, and the roses....must've been a v tiring day, watching the footy was exhausting, the not breathing for the last 10 minutes, phew!!
