It's been a quiet day. Both boys off school sick (upset stomach and sore throat; nothing major) so all after-school activities cancelled too. This evening I enticed both of them to step outside the house for the first time all day to take the dogs for a walk. Unusually, we've had a string of very hot days, and this evening the air is humid and thunder clouds are building up. This row of poplar trees seems to take on a different personality every day, and today, across a sea of ripening wheat, under those lowering black clouds, they look very dramatic.
Sadly, we found that Fumbles, the gosling is missing from the pen. We think a fox may have taken him. We're all feeling very sad.
Pretty scene...calm looking even with storm approaching...so sorry about your gosling. I hope it wasn't Mr. Fox that got him ;-( Maybe he just got out and went for a walk himself...(wishing that is the case.)
To me your photo has a "stone-hedge"- like quality to it -- that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture on the Popular Page.
Very Beautiful -- terribly sorry about Fumbles.
Aw Im really sorry about Fumbles. Love the photo though I was going to say what Bonnie did it looked like you were about to 'upon' stonehenge in the thumbnail.
poor Fumbels what a shame.Hopefully just gone off for gander?Hope the boys are ok now. .....your picture is very dramatic, we went for a walk on Bircher common last night , the picture I took when we were there is almost the same as yours . i will put it on tomorrow
Phew, it is sultry here too! I like this, can feel the closeness and humidity, sort of thing!!! Oh no, Fumbles come back! Hope he does return, how sad.
Very Beautiful -- terribly sorry about Fumbles.
