The big tub of chocolate cosmos sits on the patio next to the gas barbeque/smoker. The flowers seem to be craning their necks with curiosity to see what's on the other side of the tank. I thought it was strange how the older stems turn the same shade of orange as the gas pipe!
I took this picture two days ago but am using it today because I seem to have accidentally deleted the ones I've just uploaded. If Mac wasn't so busy grilling dinner on the barbeque I'd ask him to come and see if he can retrieve those photos for me from the remote corner of computer memory where they're probably lurking, invisible to the untutored eye...
Chocolate cosmos really do smell of chocolate by the way!
hope you manage to get your pictures back, they really do smell of chocolate pity can't send the sent of our flowers, may be some one could invent a way to do it ?
I love this picture! The flowers do seem quite animated, and I love your description! I love your title and I shared it with my husband (the English and poetry teacher) and told him it sounded like a good name for a poem...when me came back from the kitchen he recited "won't they be surprised when they reach the other side and it is only themselves they see?" ;-) Maybe he will give it to his class as a title and make them write a haiku!
I know nothing about flowers but a little about drinks (lol) and though I don't drink cosmos myself, I thought that's what you were talking about so I was picturing a big tub full of some alcoholic chocolate flavored drink...cosmos are In the martini family. and I did have a chocolate martinia one time...it was wonderful! http://www.martiniart.com/chocolatemartinirecipes.aspx
