This is my friend Mirjana at her wedding reception this afternoon. I was only able to stay for a short while before rushing off to watch William playing drums in a brass band concert. But I didn't want to miss out on her special day completely. Mirjana came to the lab where I used to work eight years ago from Bosnia, to do her PhD. She lived with us for her second year as a graduate student - and was a huge hit with the boys. You can probably see why from this picture - this is how I always picture Mirjana - head thrown back in a big peal of laughter. I'm sorry to have cropped her new husband out of the picture, but someone walked in front of me at the critical moment and his face is obscured by a trouser leg! Doesn't she look beautiful? And happy!
That photo is *pure delight*! What a superb moment you were able to capture of this obviously radiant bride! So nice that you're connected in that lovely way in the past...makes this picture all the more a keeper, I know! (Bosnians must all be just exquisite, judging by the two I've now seen...)
Helen i LOVE this picture! captured her personality and with wild flower as the background and just a shoulder of her man, nothing could top that! A FAV!!! i think you should frame this one and give it to her as a gift, i bet you she will love it!!
Her happiness goes with the beautifully blooming flowers, nice shot,Helen! :)
