After the onslaught of Will's sleepover party yesterday and the pancake marathon this morning, I needed a good long walk, so set off with the dogs in the drizzle along the Clopton Way. I'd never done this walk before and was delighted to stumble on the site of the medieval village of Clopton and read about how it was once an important and thriving settlement. This huge old tree had fallen on the brow of the hill and I thought the gnarled stump would make an interesting photo. Storm now fancies himself as something of a male model, so as soon as my camera came out, he got into position, made sure the light was hitting his fur at the most flattering angle and struck a pose.
Must be nice to have a pet who cooperates when the camera comes out. He knows he's a handsome dog, and that everyone would love to see his picture, I suppose...Beautiful countryside, Helen.
Storm's workin' that camera! ...but, thinking about that village makes me think how sad it is that once-thriving places sometimes disappear off the map... Imagine the stories left behind...
I see you have got Storm trained well , I suppose he just pushes his sister out of the way ,to steal all the limelight !Its a nice view you must have found a hill.
Thats a great pose Storm ha! Helen Ive been to Copton Village. Its quite spooky but then I did go in the winter on a misty day. There's a geocache there ;)
