Splash of Colour

The footpath in Toft where I took the dogs for a walk this afternoon starts out by cutting right across the driveway of an unassuming house. But while the house is quite ordinary their borders of dahlias are something really special - just what is needed on a dull grey day like today. My photo really doesn't do the flowers justice, but I had three dogs on leads pulling my arm off to get the open fields behind the house, plus I was trying not to lurk too obviously in their garden taking pictures.
Gorgeous colors indeed! Very nice.

They are making the most of the last of the summer colours. Like the angle you took this.

I love dahlias. Mine are not even through yet, of course. I think your shot has capture the variety of colour, size and petal variation well.
