Purple Fruit by helenmoss

Purple Fruit

Not plums or damsons or even olives, these little guys are sloes. They are the fruit of the blackthorn and grow wild in the hedgerows. Every time I see them, I'm reminded I should be making sloe gin out of them. Maybe tomorrow I will have time. I have just sent off Book 3 of the series I'm working on. Three down, three to go! Off to bed now!
They are a great colour! Well done on half way.

I'd never seen them before either, they kind of look like grapes or plums - how big are they? Beautiful shot!
