Hooray! A sunny morning after all the grey drizzly ones. I took a photo of some burrs like these a couple of months ago in the melting snow. Here they are showing off their radiant glow and pretending they are in a shampoo advert. Now you can see those vicious little hooks at the end that anchor themselves to anything that passes. They are truly nature's velcro.
