Snowdrop by helenmoss

Snowdrop

I've been wanting to take a picture of the pretty clumps of snowdrops in the woods for days now but it has been so grey that they haven't even opened up. So a brought a small bunch inside and photgraphed them in the kitchen instead. I'm not sure what happened with the background: for some reason the wooden counter and yellow wall look like bands of milk and white chocolate.
They do! Beautiful capture of the snow drop. And much more pleasant for you to take the shot in your kitchen than spread eagle in the damp.
Thank you for your kind words re ChCh. It is a truely sad day for NZ.

That is really beautiful. The contrast of the white and green make a brilliant picture. Well done.

Looks beautiful. I got lucky about two weeks ago and got a load of photos when we had a warm spell, don't know if they'll have survived the last week though, it's been so cold. http://365project.org/wormentude/365/2011-02-11

Beautiful shot of the snowdrop flower! They've started growing here too. A definite sign of spring for us.

I should think the snowdrops were quite happy to come in out of the cold! Don't they smell lovely.

Simplicity...makes some of the greatest photos, in my opinion. This is beautiful, the focus is so clear.
