A trip to the hairdresser is so much nicer when it's in a gorgeous old building like this one. Toni & Guy in Cambridge are very good at haircuts and highlights, of course, but what I really love are these wonderful beams - today glowing in the Spring sunshine. I'm not sure how old this building on Bridge Street is - surprisingly there seems to be no information on-line about it (Judith - help?) but I'm guessing 17th century (and not 1976 as it says, mysteriously, on the plaque outside!)
That sounds about right - The Pickerel is 16th century but this may not be quite so old. How lovely that they've restored it so beautifully - last time I went in it was typical hairdressery (luckily they failed to notice the headlice ;0/) but this is much better - almost worth defecting from Wacky Hair! Great shot with the beams on beams....
Terrific picture & love the way the reflection of the beams are mirrored in the mirror. You must spend some enjoyable times in there , I love having my hair done !
Toni and Guy (my hair stylists too!) in Belfast is ultra modern! and about to get a new face lift! Will try to do pictures next Thursday when I'm there!!
Could you step a little closer to the mirror so I can see you better, please? Haha...I do love this building. And thanks fro your nice comment on my man and a dog shot from the other day ;-)
Great shot! Looks like a beautiful place! All of us ladies on 365 should pick a day and post our photos from the hair salon. What we go through for beauty... haha
