Lowering Sky Lowers

I meant lowering to rhyme with flower, but just realised it could just as well be lower to rhyme with mower! Either way, this wodge of big black cloud suddenly descended over Will's cricket match in Waterbeach this evening. The rain held off but it was a nippy three-jumper affair for the spectators. We didn't win, but Will took a wicket so he was happy.
Just noticed that this week's theme is sport, so there we go!
Those clouds are looking pretty angry! Good shot! Congrats to Will. :)

Yes - a balmy summer evening on the boundary....not... The worst mistake at matches like that is sandals I found to my cost! Love this shot - those cricketers must have felt pretty intimidated - it's almost tiltshift without the out of focus part!

@judithg Sandals! Definitely a schoolboy error there! I'm in boots, several jumpers, coats, scarf and - since one especially Siberian evening in Isleham last year - a blanket in the car just in case!

Great drama in that sky, would definately make everyone feel they needed to be in hurry up mode.

I've always marvelled at the idea of cricket starting in England ... a game that's played outside for 5 days... and stops at the first spec of rain! This is a beautiful scene.

Well done to Wills taking a wicket, what a shame you didn't go on to win . Hope he managed to keep his teeth intact . btw this picture looks very dramatic
