In other news, the card slot in my Canon 6D stopped working yesterday. The card won't lock in place. Probably a bit of plastic from an old card stuck in the reader. Unfortunately the camera has to be stripped completely down to get access to the card slot and it will probably cost more than the camera is worth :-(
@lifeat60degrees Any luck getting your 7D to work? Checked with FotoJørgen shop here in Bergen and they said it probably wouldn't be worth sending to Canon. They sell used 6Ds for around NOK 4000 when they have them. If they get one in I might just buy one....
@helstor365 I received a quote today from repairers in Glasgow who say they have experience of carrying out these repairs. Quoted the equivalent of NOK 1700 so I may decide to send it to them.
