While driving around, we found this great old hotel. Now known as the Virginia House, this 96,000 square foot hotel was started in the 1850s and finished in 1873. It was restored in 1987.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...

Oh my goodness! Now there's a blast from the past. I actually learned to drive on the roads around that building as my family has a time share right up the road from it. Lovely old building! This picture reminds me of many great family vacations to the area.
