Just before we left for the convention, the other trustees of the Buena Historical Society asked Gail & I to give an hour talk on the 16th about the 1940 U.S. Census that was released to the public on April 1st this year. So I have fallen behind in my posting and commenting getting ready for that.

It's amazing all the buzz and interest the latest census release has created...I'm impressed that you are so current on that kind of thing, but it sounds like it is what you do.
You're preparing for your speech and I'm slowly getting ready for our 3 weesk vacation to Florida, Orlando. the extra two weeks at my girlfriend's place I've to forego as I'll be flying home after the 3 weeks for my MRI appointment..Hans will continue to drive kinda back to New Jersey to do the renovation's at her house and join up with me later. I couldn't get an earlier appointment and don't like postponing the MRI as I'm still in pain and need to find out what exactly is wrong with me.
@kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi, Mike liked it also @kerristephens Thank you Kerri, Mike is a great researcher @shadesofgrey Thank you, I have three main hobbies - photography, travel, and genealogy. Now that I am retired, I can spend a lot of time on them :)
@bruni Thank you Bruni, take care of your health that is the most important thing. @marilyn Thank you Marilyn, Mike didn't even realize I was taking his picture, he is used to me always carrying a camera :) @brumbe Thank you Paula, it will be in a couple of hours @seattle Thank you Constance, Mike is a fun person :)
Nice portrait shot! I am waiting for the 1940 census to be indexed fully. I would like to fill in more info. My roadblocks are in the early 1800's and early 1700's for a couple of lines.
@orangecrush Thank you Jerry, it went very well @grannysue Thank you Linda, I know prior to 1850 it is not an every name census so you have to use other means of tracking your ancestors.
