Today I drove down to Cape May Point to see if the Monarch Migration had started. It has. BTW: Cape May Point in NJ is on the same latitude as Washington, DC.

Nice capture Harry. There's a large wintering ground to the west and slightly north of where I am. I went there a couple of years ago. It's very cool to see thousands upon thousands of these butterflies all just hanging in the trees.
@webfoot Thank you Paul, there are two one in CA for those that live west of the Rockies and one in Mexico for those monarchs east of the Rockies, I would love to get to either one.
It amazes me that something so delicate can travel over a thousand miles. They usually disappear from central MN the 2nd week of September. I love this shot!
I was surprised when I saw you picture that there were 4 monarch so close together. since your mentioned migration it made sence to me very nice catch. fav.
