Liberation.

On September 17/18 1944, units of the 101 US Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) were parachuted in the neighborhood of Eindhoven for operation Market-Garden (Ever seen 'Band of Brothers?'). That must be the reason that this C47 Dakota has been flying around today over my house. At the first pass, I only had a 28-70mm on a D70 ready. At the second pass, half an hour later, I had my D200 with 28-200 on manual - as I found out too late - and didn't manage to focus. On the third pass, another half an hour later, I had forgotten to take the timer option off. Finally, this shot is the best I could do. I hope it will fly again tomorrow. It's too dark now.
Still a cool shot. I like that you can see the spinning propellers.
