Wildflowers now decorate the Redoubts

During the Revolutionary War, an important battle was fought at Yorktown, Virginia, beginning on Sept. 28, 1781. Behind the siege lines were redoubts 9 and 10 where fierce battles were waged and won by American and French troops against the British. Now some 230 years later, wildflowers commemorate the spot.
So nice to have something that peaceful where war once took place

@bkbinthecity It was such a pretty field, it's hard to imagine that it was once a war zone.

Very pretty and love the story behind it! Very pretty and hard to imagine a war taking place in the same area.
