A snail climbed a light pole

My son found this snail on the light pole at my FIL's house as we were packing up the truck to leave. He was the biggest snail I've seen in a long time, probably 1.5 inches long with a shell nearly an inch in diameter.

@jacqbb I thought so too. He was coming down the light pole. I wonder if he went up to look around? LOL!
