My Get Pushed Challenge for this week is to take a picture that summed up our military life. It was hard at first, until I looked at the stacks of boxes still unpacked from our move last summer.
So, here's my life. In the past 12 years, since the 9-11 attacks, my husband has been away (either mobilized, deployed or at a military school) for more than 5 years total, we have moved twice in the past two years and will move again next summer (after having spent 11 months at our current location, another school). Needless to say, we have only unpacked the necessities and only one decorative item, my husband's mounted deer head, actually hanging on the walls in the house we are renting for this year. So, to sum up my life, here's all of my scrapbooks (all our memories) in a box along with the flag my husband flew over their camp in Iraq on Mother's Day 2011 for me - my most unusual and most touching Mother's Day present I've ever received. And of course, stacks and stacks of boxes that we didn't unpack.
Only 5 more years until my husband has 20 years on active duty and can retire, even though we've been doing this for nearly 25 years (some Army Reserve time in there). Maybe then, we will actually unpack everything!
Works for the Nov. word for today, also -- home! Home is where the Army sends us!

Great image. Sounds like my life. I went to 9 schools. The shortest time in one place wae 9 months. The longest 3 years. My mum and dad have finally settled but I still seem to have the bug. Funny that a lot of my boxes are labeled books and craft too. I scrapbook as well.
@gypsy6 Thanks. My kids have been spared going to so many school being home schooled, but they are collecting Boy Scout troop patches and football uniforms! LOL!
