After watching the one iris plant in my yard slowly open over the past two week, one bloom finally opened completely today. I was so excited to find it open.
@redy4et I looked it up online. It's the sharpshooter variety. My neighbor has one that is mostly white with purple around the outside. It's gorgeous. I don't think they like the clay that much. If people had them, they were in pots. The big evergreen magnolia trees are about to bloom now. They are one of the last spring blooms, I think. Except for the rain we've been getting, it feels a lot like summer already and looks like it too. Although people are complaining that it's a lot colder than last spring. LOL! If I remember correctly, when we down here last April looking for houses, it was already reaching up to 90. We haven't hit that yet.
