Last night, I braved the cold (coldest night we have had so far - 20 degrees F) to view and photograph the lunar eclipse. It was a fun family event. We could even hear a few neighbors out doing the same thing.
@maggiemae The brighter the moon, the faster the shot needs to be. I usually adjust the shutter speed to 1200 or more for a full moon. For a sliver moon, it might be as low as 200. This one was taken during the eclipse, so it might throw off your settings. My camera has an auto setting for the moon, so I can cheat a little.
