Where is the moon? by homeschoolmom

Where is the moon?

My Get Pushed challenge this week was to take a photo of the moon with something of interest in the foreground using a technique described on one website. Well, we've had storms almost every night this week. Last night and tonight are clear, But the moon isn't up high enough for me to see it - and there should be at least a half of moon visible. So, I was only able to do half this challenge, as nature did not cooperate with me.
Sometimes the weather just doesn't cooperate and ya just gotta go with what ya got!

I wrote a tutorial about taking sunrise/sunset photos and I said you need to be prepared for disappointment and if the sunrise/sunset is a bust find something else to photograph and this is what you have done with this lovely shot when the moon was absent.

I feel your pain! I’ve been wanting to see that comet and we have had overcast skies ever since I heard about it

@joansmor @grammyn I could see lots of stars last night, but the moon, which should have been up, was not. It may have just been so low on the horizon that it did not clear the big trees behind my house.
