Making Paper by homeschoolmom

Making Paper

Last night and today, our Boy Scout troop hosted a Merit Badge Mania (which I helped organize). Last might I taught photography and today I helped my husband teach Pulp and Paper. He taught the history and I showed the boys how to make paper. This boy wouldn't leave his soaking paper alone. He almost didn't need to blend it in the blender. Another boy was so grossed out by the blended paper that he didn't want to touch it. I made him! LOL! It doesn't feel gross at all. It's smooth and silky. Between my photography merit badge class, this pulp and paper merit badge class and the Citizenship in the World Merit Badge class my husband taught Friday night and Saturday morning, we helped the 26 boys earn merit badges.
Really neat the boys are learning crafts not taught at school. Never let school get in the way of education I always say!

@randystreat There are actually home school curiculum designed around boy scout merit badges. They cover so many topics. My boys love them.
