Court Of Honor by homeschoolmom

Court Of Honor

Tonight, was our Boy Scout Troop's Court of Honor, which they do twice a year to give out merit badges and other recognitions. Tonight was very special, as we retired our Scoutmaster and the Cub Scout Pack's Cubmaster, who is his wife. We also did an Eagle Ceremony for a young man who earned his Eagle rank 2 years ago, but went off to college and never did an actual ceremony. And, we honored the Cubmaster for receiving the Silver Beaver Award, which is a huge award given out by the Boy Scout Council for service to Scouts, community and church. Oh, and we had a big potluck dinner and cake to celebrate the three big honorees. Many special guests came to honor the Scoutmaster, including the first boy who earned his Eagle Scout under his leadership (there were 21 in all) and the other troop in town, nearly 100 people in all. Busy night, took us over 5 hours from set-up to clean-up, but we got it all done in fine Boy Scout fashion of controlled chaos.
wonderful collage to document the event!
