Our van and old truck have a windshield full of rock dings, just like this one. Also found one in the new truck's windshield the other day. This one is in the windshield of car we just bought my daughter. It's very hard to find a car here without at least one chip in the windshield.
They're fairly easy to fix though without changing the whole windshield. It's pretty interesting to watch too. Rest assured it's not just NC. Every state has its share of "ding" causers!
@olivetreeann Yes, IL was terrible about that. We actually had to replace our van windshield when we lived there because cracks started to form between the rock chips.
