Our family is very loud. The dog barks at everything outside. And, sound carries very easily though our house, even though it's a fairly big house. So, when we walled in the loft, we put soundproofing insulation in the new wall. We put these soundproofing panels on the wall by our bedroom. The other wall is by my son's bedroom, but has his closet and duct work to block the sound. Now, this will get covered with a "wood" panel to make it look like a manly office. These black panels were sticky and crumbled when we tried to cut them.
