WOW! And I mean WOW! (in the absence of formatting option, imagine that second 'WOW' in big bold red underlined letters). Not just a favourite, but one of the favourites of my favourites! Just LOVE the style of it, down to the Rembrandt lighting. So, to summarize, AWESOME!!

Pre-Raphaelite and gorgeous. Fav. I've just caught up on all of the photos I've missed recently. I could have faved them all. I'm practicing restraint!
May 6th, 2013
PS. I think it's far more Rossetti than Rembrandt. You?
May 6th, 2013

May 15th, 2013
@houdiniem - you should seek out John Collier's work then...
May 15th, 2013
@bobfoto I shall, once I done a bit of work :)
May 15th, 2013
@houdiniem - I'm thinking "Princess of Delphi"
May 15th, 2013
@bobfoto she's a beaut
May 15th, 2013
@houdiniem - oh yeah, she hangs in a Gallery of my hometown and when I was a young lad visiting the Gallery/Museum/Gardens I would always spend some time with that painting.
May 15th, 2013
@bobfoto like I do with 'The Lady of Shallot'
May 16th, 2013
@houdiniem - oh there's a few of those when I google....
May 16th, 2013
@bobfoto John William Waterhouse
May 16th, 2013
@houdiniem - now that's interesting, because as I was saying, I would often go to the Gallery to view the Princess of Delphi, well all the time hanging next to her was John William Waterhouse's "Circe Invidiosa" which many of my friends thought to be the better of the two.
May 16th, 2013
@bobfoto both beauties, I am also keen on Burne Jone's 'Margaret Burne Jones'
May 16th, 2013
