Shagbark Hickory

All hickory trees are a little shaggy, so guide once told us the way to identify "Shagbark" hickory ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carya_ovata), was that a squirrel could fit under the loose bark. There are several of these grand trees in our local "woods."
I never knew this. Great capture of the shaggy bark.
