Hearts and Poetry

I wanted to combine the word of the day, poetry, with the theme of daily hearts. The journal of blank pages here is reflective of Walt Whitman’s poem “O Me! O Life!” He ponders the meaning of his existence and asks:

“What good amid these? O me, O life?
That you are here - that life exists and identity.
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.”
Very artistic! Love it!

Lovely image, really like it. Here's my poetry contribution:

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain. (Emily Dickinson)
