Bridge

Another attempt at replicating a common composition in Blender.
This is intended to look like one of the two 'rite of passage' shots every photographer seems to take when in the general vicinity of the Zeeland Bridge.
Not entirely happy with it, but I'm out of time for today.
Fabulous!

Terribly ignorant, no idea what Blender is (am sure it's so far out of my comfort zone I'm not even going to Google it) but love the result

Haha, blend away. Nice idea

Better than anything I could ever produce!

The bridge works - I think it's the horizon line feels too sharp and the sea/water in the foreground not solid enough

Outstanding, That is all.

@fbailey It's a 3D modelling software program which I've been trying to learn for the last couple of years. This is one of my 3D renders so I modelled the bridge etc.

@shannejw Thanks for the feedback. This is particularly interesting as I had the same thought and softened the horizon in Photoshop. I either didn't go far enough or it may have "sharpened up" when I scaled it down to post here.

it works on the left, but the right feels harsher than the other softness suggests

@shannejw I think next time I will try using a gradient-to-transparent material on the "water" plane to fade it out rather than rely on the DoF simulation to soften it.

It looks like there could be some Aurora borealis in the background. Great image, very clever.

It has symmetry and contrast and it’s lovely how the light radiates out.

Fabulous abstract.
