I had a few comments about the blue colouring in Asian food. particularly the blue rice dishes and the blue jelly in Ice Kacang. the flower is a vine growing species The Butterfly Pea flower
sometimes battered and fried, but can be eaten straight off the vine... supposed to be good for cholesterol reduction.
