Christmas Tree Lights by if1

Christmas Tree Lights

296 - Boxing Day and the Christmas lights on our tree seemed like an interesting subject to play with. A movement shot is an interesting experiment, and when a star filter is used, an extra dimension is added.

This is the first time I've taken this kind of movement shot, and this is what I thought was the best shot of a mixed bunch of results. Any suggestions that you have for improvement would be much appreciated.
Wow really good. Cool shot.

@ladyjane

Thank you Ladyjane - our tree has two types of lights. The incandescent ones give solid lines, while the fibre optic ones give a dotted effect.

@tatamanke

Thank you Tata, and thank you for the follow. I found the best results were with small circular type movements on a fairly long exposure. The colours and contrast were then boosted a bit on the computer.
