315 - The weather forecast has been warning of snow for several days, and it finally arrived today. Some small overnight flurries, and this morning a much heavier fall, although it doesn't look likely that it will last very long unless the temperature drops a bit more.
This is the view from my bedroom window late this morning.
Makes you feel cold just looking at this photo. I'm shut inside now and trying not to think about tomorrow's journey to work with lots more forecast for East Anglia.
Suyper capture, it certainly looks like it is snowing! We had a light dusting this morning and then a top up early afternoon. Much more snow is expected tonight.
Thank you Tony - fortunately not too much snow and most of it has now cleared, and I think I prefer the snow to the heatwave that you are having - far too hot for me! I hope that you haven't been affected by any of the wildfires that seem to have broken out in several parts of Australia
Thank you Roslyn - it looks great through a window from a warm room, but it's not so good out in it! You are quite fortunate to avoid it altogether, although it can make great photos!
Nice pic!
Thank you Tata - much of the snow has now gone.
Thank you Sebastien - fortunately the snow wasn't too deep and was melting almost as fast as it was falling, so no need for shovelling!
Thank you Christine - the heavy snow didn't last too long - just long enough for me to get a shot!
Thank you Hazel - most of our snow has now gone too.
Thank you Therese - it's nice to look at but I'm not so keen on being out in it!
Thank you Alison - most of the snow here is now gone, but it's very cold and icy now
I bet you can see some on the hills of Bowland and the Lake District!
Thank you Lee - it's amazing how good snow looks from inside a warm building!
Thank you Colin - most of our snow has gone now.
Thank you Molly - most snow here has gone. Being so low lying, York rarely has snow for long.
Thank you Judith - it came down heavily for a while, but much of it has now gone.
Thank you Pyrrhula - most snow has now cleared but the roads and paths are very icy. You take care too!
Thank you Janet, that was the result I was after, although I was a bit surprised when it came out OK!
Thank you Stevie, we've had a few more falls, but most of it has now gone.
Thank you Tony - fortunately not too much snow and most of it has now cleared, and I think I prefer the snow to the heatwave that you are having - far too hot for me! I hope that you haven't been affected by any of the wildfires that seem to have broken out in several parts of Australia
Thank you Dar, the flakes were large and watery for a while. It only formed a thin ground covering and most of it has now melted
Thank you Cecilia - watching snow fall is lovely, but it's no fun being out in it!
Well, I'm glad to hear that you are safe
Thank you Ladyjane - the snow did come down heavily for a while.
Thank you Roslyn - it looks great through a window from a warm room, but it's not so good out in it! You are quite fortunate to avoid it altogether, although it can make great photos!
Thank you Kd, it did come down heavily for a while, but then started melting. Now it's frozen again and we have very icy roads and footpaths.
Thank you Caren - we could really do with some of that southern sunshine to get rid of it!
Thank you Rachel, glad you like it!
