319 - Near the start of yesterdays walk this track caught my eye. It runs to a short terrace of houses, and is a quiet location only about 100 yards from a busy main road north out of York.
It forms a quiet access to the flood bank around Clifton Ings, and is well used by dog walkers and others.
Most roads were almost clear of ice and snow, but here winter lingers on
Beautifully framed shot Ian.
It has snowed quite a lot here today. Snowman and snow dog nearly un-recognizable as their features have disappeared in the snow
Like the tones and the leading lines and the trees to the right. Also like the house and Chimney but for all this it does feel that it is in the middle of the country
Thank you David, it's a lovely semi rural area quite close to where I live, so ideal for a local short walk (although you could join the Yoredale Way close to here and head for the Dales!)

Thank you Therese, glad you like it!
Thank you Paula, glad you like it
Thank you Hazel - we had a bit more snow overnight, but it's still not deep enough to make walking really unpleasant.
Thank you Malc, it's a lovely spot on my regular walks onto the Ings near the river.
Thank you Lee, it was a bit fresh out there!
Thank you Caren - we really don't want it to warm up too quickly or we will be back to floods again!
Thank you Molly - we've had a little more snow, but still not too bad here.
Thank you Colin - I love doing shots like this which lead the eye in.
Thank you William - the trees do help preserve the frost and snow, but it was amazing how this scene had changed by the end of my walk.
Thank you Kd - you're right it would be spooky at night - no street lights and very quiet.
Thank you Judith, glad you like it.
Thank you Stevie - these kind of shots always make me want to walk into the scene and explore.
Thank you Pyrrhula - this is a lovely track to walk along.
Thank you Debra, glad you like it.
Thank you Tony, and thank you for the fav!
Thank you Nat - there are several quite deformed trees along this track
Thank you Mickey - everything was frozen, including me!
Thank you Tanja - it's a lovely semi rural area quite close to where I live
Thank you Ladyjane - it's a lovely track to walk along.
Thank you Brian - it's a mixture of snow, ice and heavy frost, but it makes the area look quite lovely.
Thank you Carol - I'm surprised that you can't see my breath in the shot!
Thank you Bob - it certainly was cold. Despite the thermal clothing I had on, I still felt the chill

Thank you Bruni - it is usually well used by dog walkers, but it was quiet while I was there this time.
