Corn field
Behind my house. Planted whilst we were away in May. “Knee high by 4 July.” as people used to say.

Born and raised in Illinois, I’m back again after living from the east coast to Hawaii, Michigan south to Georgia. I love, love, love...

This definitely field corn, not sweet corn. I think it will be at least August before our local sweet corn is ready.

I used to say knee high by 4th of July but around here it is sky high by 4th of July. Quite amazing to watch the changing seasons on a farm.
