Black and white

I decided to try this challenge "Technique-92 Shadows to Black, Black and White" as it seemed interesting and something I've never done before. Most photos I've seen are from cities but as I spend most of my free time in nature I did some forest shots. It was a very sunny afternoon and I used the strong sun and shadows with my Helios 44. This was so much fun and I think I have found a new favourite style to work with. Gave me a new way of looking at my forests.
dramatic use of light through the trees - interesting effects

Nice image Inga. I am glad you are enjoying this new way of exposing. I like it too! I love using the blacks to isolate or create shapes or to just go hog-wild with abandon. Today, imagery is often centered on finding extreme dynamic range in the shadows. It's good to try a Walk on the Wild Side. Obla De Obla Da to you. Sergeant Pepper.

@walrus Thank you very much. I like this kind of work but sadly it's cloudy and a bit misty today so no shadows at all. By the way, I agree about the dynamic range in the shadows, I never use it as I like the dark side.
