Silfra by ingajohansson

Silfra

Just want to show you my little icelandic horse Silfra. She is very cute and full of energy and much fun to ride. Her talent is the tölt, even though the has five gaits. This is shot with my phone and hopefully I will present better shots of her in the future. Icelandic horses are often reffered to as "tölt mopeds" in Sweden but I would say she is more of a tölt mc :)
She is so beautiful Inga, lovely shot too

She is beautiful! I had to google the word tolt, had never heard of it before: '...The Tölt is a natural, fluid gait of the Icelandic Horse, during which at least one foot always touches the ground. Foals often tölt in pastures at an early age. The tölt is an extraordinarily smooth four-beat gait, which allows the rider an almost bounce-free ride, even at 32 kmh'. Learnt something new today!

@overalvandaan Thank you. If you ever get the chans to ride one, do it. At least in Sweden they have stables where you can ride in the nature for some hours with a guide and a picnic. Often for beginners.
