Hairy & scary

There are many asps around this year. I never really heard about them, but school-nurses sent warnings out: http://citybugs.tamu.edu/factsheets/biting-stinging/others/ent-3010/
And I have heard about a few kids being sick for a day after contact. So to me this is a fit for the October word "scary".
This guy was on my window. I took a few pictures from the inside and wanted to go outside to get some more, but then he had dropped and I couldn't find him anymore.
Wow, I read your link about them and I see they can cause some quite nasty reactions. We don't have that particular moth but we do now get oak processionary moths that we have to be careful about http://www.nhs.uk/news/2010/08August/Pages/oak-processionary-moth-health-warning.aspx They have been found in the trees in my local park where I walk the dogs, although I haven't seen any.

Read your link too, @stephanies. They seem similar to the ones we have here or maybe worse. Hope you do not come across any.
