When I started cooking today I saw a bird coming, so I ran upstairs, got my camera, changed the lens and quietly went outside. I felt very lucky that the adult was still there and had the opportunity to take exactly 2 shots.
Unfortunately it is too warm (+100F/38C in the shade) to sit and wait for them... but this was super cute. Google says that after 2 weeks they are leaving the nest. That is quick and will be soon!
isn't it so gratifying to follow their progress? it's like a free mother nature's show. glad you're posting the photos. it's hot here in the northern hemisphere so i could imagine how it is there, having lived there for a good three years. now, like then, i'm drinking iced water like it's going out of style tomorrow. take care and stay safe.
