Shells by ingrid01

Shells

About 10 years ago when we lived in Villahermosa, Mexico, a friend was moving and gave me a big bowl with shells (she knew I really liked it and she wanted to travel light). These are just 3 of many - I also edited the picture.

Today was a little busy for me. First to the beach at 6am then grocery shopping. Due to our curfew some weeks ago the grocery store opened at 8am in stead of 9am. They kept that for a couple of weeks after the curfew was lifted. I like going early, but unfortunately they have now changed it back to 9am.

Anyway, now my kids have school (online) they think it is necessary to keep me busy too. My son gave me a list of universities he is interested in and asked me to add the requirements and application deadlines. That took me some time as all have Covid announcements, but not a lot of info about applying for Aug/Sep 2021 yet. I guess they are having a hard time to get this academic year on the road first.

Obviously when I do something for my son, my daughter thinks of something too. She needed her school notebooks covered in "sticky plastic" to protect them.

So when that was all done it was almost time to prepare dinner. Quickly I tried to take a few pictures of the shells. It was already dark outside so I wanted to try to get a "rim light". That didn't work out, but playing with my phone torch and a mirror I noticed the double shadow and after a little editing I quite like it.

Normally I look at your pictures first on 365, but will do that tomorrow.
Wonderful story and I love your photo. Those shadows and the light play are just great.

Mooi ! (wij hebben de in 10 jaar verzamelde schelpen in Afrika en Aziƫ gelukkig in de zeevracht kunnen meenemen...)
