Prickly

Taken during the hike last Wednesday.

As many of you noticed it is very dry here (according to Google we get about 10 rain days between November and April which is good for 100mm/4" of rain).

So we see lots of spiky and prickly plants. I also saw some green and tiny flowers... coming up tomorrow.
Great details and colours

Those spikes look lethal. We lived in Cyprus for three years a long time ago and it didn't rain there from April to November at all. When the first rain did come in November we stood outside just to watch it, ha ha.

This is a great closeup. But, ouchy if you step on one barefoot.

Great macro, but not to get too close...

Great capture but I would want to get to close to the spikes.

Nice shot

At first glance I thought this was a spider haha! It looks like this plant could be a bit more harmful though armed with those spikes.

I love this photo. Soft and beautiful colours for such a sharp plant.
