Poor Baloo by ingrid01

Poor Baloo

Baloo lasted just under 24 hours in what I hoped would be a perfect home. Apparently a dad with 2 adult sons, a teen-aged daughter and another dog just lived in 1 room and it didn't work out.
So he is back with us and I have posted his picture on most local animal Facebook groups.

He is super active and it takes me a lot of time and energy to watch him, however, this morning when Yelena took him out for her morning run he was limping.
When we needed to go out she had to pick him up in order to get him in his cage.
Fortunately this evening he is a lot better. Just hoping he finds a home soon.
Poor Baloo indeed. He looks happy to be handled.

Poor Baloo must be quite traumatised with his life so far. I can see you ending up with him permanently, you seem to be the only family who can keep him under control. He must feel safe with you.

@dogwoman We are in Oman and that is part of the problem. Due to religion Omanis are not keen on dogs. Many expats left left and quite a few were unable to take the dogs with them. Some were put up for adoption, many were just left behind. Unfortunately some were not "fixed" and a whole new generation of puppies (and problems) is forming now...
A few rescue groups are doing what they can. Because Baloo is young, vaccinated and sterilized, I have a chance to find him a family.

@onewing - it is a possibility that we end up keeping him.... Although I still hope to find him a good home.

We picked Dino from a litter and really liked him. In Houston we adopted Rango (I just fell in love with him - https://365project.org/ingrid01/365/2018-01-24 - he got lung cancer and we had to put him to sleep in May 2019)
With Baloo I do not have that "click", but the Nadya liked him a lot when she was here in January and Yelena, Demyan and Norbert start to like him too...

Lovely shot. I sincerely hope the dog will find someone to take him and give him a nice home.
