My model! by ingrid01

My model!

This will be the last picture of Yelena for this month.

We had our arguments, but we both really enjoyed it! She even asked to continue in the future! Not daily of course!

I also learned a lot about working with model. Yelena often had a strong opinion... All pictures were approved before posting.

Also flowers and mosques are not able to pose on instruction, but often you have tons of time to walk around and look from another angle. Often I got only a few minutes to get it right... except for the projector series, which took a few hours...
Your photos were very cool and creative. Well done!

A lovely portrait of Yelena. She’s lovely and I’m glad she has a strong personality! She won’t be easily swayed in life, that’s a very good thing. 😊

yelena is a beautiful girl, she could be a catalogue model. is she able to go outside in this attire or does she have to wear a jacket? oman is quite liberal unlike the other arab nations (at least sultan qaboos was). when i used to work there, i could wear a short skirt (just knee high) with a slit but as part of a tailored suit but i had to wear stockings especially if i have to be with the boss at meetings at any of the government offices. on off days, i would always wear a summer dress. but there was one time when the head of our company fired his secretary in mid-air coming to saudi arabia and asked if i could go to saudi to assist him as the secretary was to take an immediate flight to london. i had no time to change and i was wearing a shirt dress that although below the knee, the buttons only reached halfway down the thigh and there were no buttons on the upper bodice so the neckline was really low. my boss drove me to the airport and he made me wear his wife's scarf. needless to say, the staff at the office of the saudi official where we had the meeting, seemed mesmerized especially that i had to commandeer the fax and telex machines. some refused to obey me when i asked for paper or supplies, but mostly they were just happy to get near me and gawk at my askewed scarf. the driving would be a longer story.

i must apologize, i missed this one. in my home feed there are five people who have multiple albums and every other day they do multiple postings, a couple of them with 7 or 8 albums i think. it's bad when they post at the same time and my feed would be saturated and i get to miss my other friends' postings. so this probably got 'buried' with all their catch up posts.

@summerfield Thank you Vikky! And don't worry at all about missing a post.
Yelena would not wear this top when going out in public. She loves it for photos and sometimes wears it when visiting with girlfriends in their house.
Oman is still is very liberal. Wearing a skirt or pants just on/over the knee is no problem as are t-shirts with short sleeves.
We even use normal swimsuits and Yelena sometimes a bikini at the public beaches, however, if we go to a wadi or a remote beach near a little village we swim in a t-shirt and shorts out of respect..

About a year ago the clothing rules for entering shopping malls got stricter: Shoulders and knees need to be covered for every one.
At every entrance is a Covid-19 temperature check and I have seen expat-men in shorts being refused entrance due to their shorts.
