Tomorrow all commercial activities (except supermarkets, petrol stations and pharmacies) will be on hold for a week.
And because it is almost Yelena's birthday we went shopping for a bikini. Obviously Oman is not a country where it is easy to find bikini's.
We walked to 2 shopping malls and I loved the roof of this one, so quickly snapped an iPhone picture.
Bikinis! Oh I can just imagine they are almost impossible to find there. Glad she’s happy. Is everything closing for a holiday? This is a cool half and half capture.
Nice reflection on the staircase. Great modern architecture of a shopping mall. In Malta English is as important as Maltese - it is a second language to us. Using both languages in signs helps foreigners and tourists who visit us.
@louannwarren You are right that the closure has to do with the end Ramadan holidays. Covid-19 cases are still very high and with the suspension of almost all commercial activities and a curfew from 7pm to 4am the government hopes it will not get worse.
@kork Bikinis can be worn at private beaches and swimming pools. Even at the beach we usually go to, which is not private, wearing a bikini is no problem. However when you go swimming close to a village we wear shorts/leggings and a t-shirt. Sometimes there are signs that you must be covered up to swim.
