This morning after I walked the dogs, I saw a Monarch close to the milkweed. I prepared my camera, sat down and waited. It was a male and he returned, so I got a few shots.
Then Yelena woke up and told me that there were many butterflies in the front yard. We put wildflower seeds and many orange and yellow flowers are now blooming!
She was right: there were at least 3 butterflies! This was one of the best shots I took.
Although this one is not sitting on milkweed, but I'm still tagging it for the 30-shots.
