very hard to get the lighting right on this, one of the huge disadvantages of a phone camera, areas of extreme dark , still I like the textures - made some enquiries about the owners so it'd be interesting to find some history on this building
An another beautyfull shot. and I''m always surprise that you take these photos with an iPhone! I also love the fact that you didn't do it in B&W. It will be the easiest way. I love the bit of touch of color.
I do like old dilapidated buildings with their peeling and fading paint. The POV is effective, with the central pillar and the winding stairs. Really atmospheric.
OK.. this is one of my favorites (so far)..the colors, textures, emotions in this shot leave the viewer needing answers yet getting them (i hope that made sense :-)
@automaticslim Thank you! Loads of old derelict buildings here, they're so expensive to do up that folk just build new which is a shame (she said sitting in her centrally heated concrete box! )
This is great! I love derelict buildings... there are groups that go on the hunt for derelict buildings and then do shoots there... would be fun to join something like that one day!
Thank you all for your comments, I'm finding it really time consuming and we've had Internet problems, so apologies for group thank you. I intend going back here very soon, I don't own a digital camera but I 'm taking part in film-February so really excited about that. The biggest problem with film is obvious- it's nearly impossible to take and upload the same day so am trying to organise how I'm going to work that one out.
