sheep polaroid

I stopped to take photos of the sea and these guys came running up! Sheep are usually quite timid and run away but I think they were tempted by the polaroid, clever guys. They really did pose and start bleating away.
Camera Polaroid
Film Impossible Poor Pod
Nice perspective ingrid. Is this the same film as the other b+w polaroid

@gwhit123 It is George, I bought a pile as it was dirt cheap and I'm down to the last couple of packs - it's unpredictable but fun

ooh love this! The different sections of tonality are wonderful. Sheep always starting walking away from me the minute they see the camera.
February 17th, 2013
Super cool... I love the "imperfections" and personality in your shots!
February 17th, 2013
Love the framing of the gate. Sure you didn't have sheep fattening nuts in your pocket?!!

Rik
Love the composition

I love this shot and the way the sheep are so directly looking at the camera. You're inspiring me to pluck up courage to have a go with the Polaroid I found in a charity shop last week.
February 17th, 2013
@janpenny Oh do it! One tip though is do not buy film on ebay as it's ridiculously overpriced. I've used the Impossible project and their newest films look amazing - it's not cheap but it's so much fun.

@vase Thank you Carla, they usually do that too which is why I ignored the sea as this'll probably never happen again!
February 17th, 2013
@amyspada Thank you Amy! The film has to take credit for that though, very liberating as it is what it is!
February 17th, 2013
@sheilag Damn Sheila - don't tell everyone!! No really they usually run away! Maybe they were hungry
@rikshore Thank you Rik :)

Great sheep with a bit of attitude! I love the imperfections and the composition is perfect.

Mel
Love the window of light framing the foremost sheep - they look like right camera hogs! Great shot.
February 17th, 2013
Great fun shot, fav.
February 17th, 2013
Aww cute sheep
February 17th, 2013
This is great, Ingrid. What fun to have the polaroid to play with!
February 17th, 2013
You did it again!!! Great shot. I have a few super cool polaroids but the film is so darn expencive. Were do you get yours.
February 17th, 2013
Oooo cool, yeah they normally run a mile. Nice one :)
February 17th, 2013
Love the framing ! Cute sheep too
February 17th, 2013

@elsbels @spankyjane @denidouble @johnnyfrs @gailmmeek @jase_h @jacjacs68 @annick
Thank you all for the comments - it is unusual for sheep to be so friendly!
@aprilmilani Thanks April, I have a mix from ebay to Impossible but ebay is hit or miss. check out the Impossible Project, they started remaking polaroid film about 4 years ago and the forst lot wasn't great but I've stuck with them, I haven't had any for a while but images on their website shows some really lovely work. It is expensive and I always think hard before each shot as I know it's a couple of quid!! If you search Impossible Project you'll get info about them - former polaroid employees who saved the last factory in Holland!

Lovely polaroid - so good !
February 17th, 2013
Did you take enough polaroids of sheep to count on nights when you can't fall asleep?
February 18th, 2013
This is really neat looking!
February 18th, 2013
What wonderful mugshots! Are you sure they weren't Sean the Sheep and his buddies?
February 18th, 2013
@steampowered shhh! They were actors I paid to dress up! I'm not hugely into sheep photos but they're everywhere ....
February 18th, 2013
@annethomson Thank you Anne- they were a complete bunch of posers!
February 18th, 2013
@3whiteroses Thank you Angela, I couldn't believe they came so close!
February 18th, 2013
@cromwell yes! And then lie awake worrying about the price of film!
February 18th, 2013
Faved this. I am a polaroid addict and have bought a new camera recently. I did a stand at the school xmas fair the the kids were so not bothered by the magic in their hands - I am re-educating them for the next school event. This is the digital age...I love the unexpected nature of the Polaroid even when you plan them. Love this. Sheep always work!! (when they let you get close..)
February 18th, 2013
what a nice capture.. The polaroid effect gives this such a timeless feel to it.. well done Ingrid!!
February 18th, 2013
very cool. sheep so vane!
February 18th, 2013
@mizhayz Thank you, what is your name as I'd love to thank you more personally! :)
February 18th, 2013
@rg37 they certainly were Richard, stuck up on a hill and no-one coming along to take their picture!
February 18th, 2013
@aliwarner Thank you Ali, I don't seem to have caught up with you for a while- my apologies! I'm a bit of a Polaroid addict too and my kids certainly aren't impressed with the magic but then they can print of anything from their computers - I can't even say it's an age thing as a couple of students I'm friendly with are mad for it! I still think there's a bit of magic involved :) thank you for the fav !
February 18th, 2013
Really love your shots Ingrid, but as so often on 365, I often feel a bit overwhelmed by my lack of knowledge to say any more.....anyways they’re inspiring.
February 18th, 2013
I love this! And I'm not even fond of sheep but the different sections of tonality so much! fav
February 18th, 2013
Must be lovely watching these develop Ingrid - wondering what little quirks your Polaroid film is going to give you! Love the strips of tone on this and love the composition through the gate! : ) fav
February 18th, 2013
The square format too is great
February 18th, 2013
What a wonderful accident. Love the tonal variations here. Your composition is brilliant, too.
February 18th, 2013
What an expression on that sheep's face. Great capture Ingrid.
February 19th, 2013
Both the sheep and the Polaroid give this shot the perfect personality!
February 19th, 2013
That stripe down the middle makes this for me. Fav.
February 19th, 2013
Very cool!
February 20th, 2013
Love it Ingrid. So reminiscent of early photography.
February 23rd, 2013
It reminds me of a wanted poster :) Love it !
