Neg 24 towers reflection

I cropped it to make square but lost too much dark cloud at the top and it lost something so this is as is
Kodak gold 400 asa in Nikon FE
C41 3 bath kit - developer 3:30 mins
bleach 4 mins stab 1:30
It looks like a beautiful piece of modern art. Incredible.

Like this a lot. Think you were right to leave in the dark cloud, it really adds to the atmosphere of the shot.

Wow, magical results! Love the contrast of textures- the realism in the reflective sky against the impressionistic appearance of the towers. Fav

Terrific stuff. I never cease marvelling at your tenacity with analog film and the photographs that you create are pure magic.

@gailmmeek Thank you Gail :)
@mdfphoto Thanks very much Matt - your shot today was incredible!
@sheilag Thanks Sheila, as soon as I cropped it something was lost!
@margiec Thank you Margie - there were others with more "perfect" reflections but I liked this better
@steampowered Aww thank you Paul, there's something about film that I can't let go of :)
@jacjacs68 @primitiveprobe @rikshore @dave_rv Thank you all for your lovely comments
@gwhit123 Thank you George! It certainly looks like it - I didn't remember it being icy but we've had a few frosty mornings and it's certainly cold enough. There are none in any of the other shots from that day but they would have had more sun

This is brilliant. I don't even know what you've done! Day by day you are enticing me towards experimenting with film. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful image, Ingrid. Love the light and the dark cloud sitting above it all. It has wonderful balance.
March 5th, 2013
yes, the dark cloud is wonderful. Love how the water's surface is as much subject as the reflection.

Like an impressionist painting -- lovely in its simplicity and restraint.

All that textured moody sky and the broken suggestion of industry at the bottom. Love it.
March 5th, 2013
I really like this.
March 5th, 2013
This, I love that water looks frozen in places which adds to the texture, upside down world, you've read my mind. fav

I agree, it is painterly, love it.

Inverting a reflection is such a cool idea. Great strong shot with the interest of a few of the ripples.
March 6th, 2013
All of a sudden there seems to have been a rash of inverted reflection shots here, mostly gratuitous. This is probably the most worthwhile one I've seen. Fav.
March 6th, 2013
Stunning shot in so many ways. The tones, the texture, the abstract feel. I can even see an observing eye in the middle. Fav definitely!
