Misty day coming up from Edinburggh - forgot I'd stopped to take photos here. It's on one of the small bridges but I can never remember which one
Just when I thought it was all over my photography tutor rang today wondering if I'd completed my evaluation. Took my head out of the sand and said No I hadn't. Would she like me to do it. Yes please. When. Today? Hahahaha. OK
Rollei
Kodak Gold 200 asa
expired film chems C41
Thanks to Google maps this is the Dornoch firth bridge about 30 miles north of Inverness. I love technology, saves my brain working ;)
This is calm and beautifully lit. A lovely view of water and sky with just enough land to anchor it. Fav. By the way, I just found 4 or 5 rolls of Kodachrome 250, expiration date in the 90's. I thought I'd load it into an old 35 mm -- either my Pentax Super ME or Canon Rebel -- and see what happens. Any suggestions?
@catwoman2 Mary, Kodachrome has a complex developing process - K14 I think that as far as I'm aware no one does any longer. Google it but I'm fairly certain it can't go through E6 @peterdegraff
@peterdegraaff sorry I can't type well on my phone and realised the previous time I tagged you it was wrong! Do you know anything about processing Kodachrome? Mary was wondering - I have a feeling the process is obselete and complicated. Just wondered if you'd tried it? Thank you :)
aaah lovely. so very still. I wish the world was still like this sometimes. Hmmm trying to think of which bridge you speak of. the view reminds me of cramond for some reason
Gorgeous - just love this Ingrid - oh bless your college stories despite the stress are so funny - been there - good luck with getting your evaluation done :) And fav :)
@chezza Oh how bad am I at Geography?? I had to look it up, it's the Dornoch Firth Bridge about 30 miles north of Inverness. thank goodness for street view on google maps ;). My excuse is to me it's new as we used to have to go right in around the firth, this bridge saved about an hour driving!!
@catwoman2 Mary I've looked up Flickr groups - it seems you can process this as black and white, not sure about chems etc. can't be more help sorry, certainly got nothing to lose by trying :)
It is not possible to develop Kodachrome yourself, and Kodak has stopped doing it. You would have to find a LAN, but I'm not sure that is possible as it was a patented process
Gorgeous - love how the tones and textures of sea, land and sky melt into one! There's always a college evaluation waiting to ruin your day! Hope you have time to chill now all the hard work is done! : )) fav
@ingrid2101 I think I know the one, been tempted to get it (but need to stop buying old cameras) . I've got a Rollei b35 but it's not rangefinder although it is absolutely tiny.
