bleach house by ingrid2101

bleach house

Rotten weather so this has been on my to try list for a while. I kept the "throwaway" part of fuji Fp100c film. Its peel apart sheet film. I saw a you-tube clip on bleaching the back off and wanted to give it a go - I did it with a tree one a few weeks ago and scanned and inverted it. I really wanted to try contact printing them though. the bleach gets through to the emulsion part on the front, melting some bits but I like the effect. This was 30 seconds under the enlarger on variable contrast paper. F5.6 just developed &fixed normally. The most time consuming part is waiting for all the different stages to dry. Yes this is next to a beach

It's beautiful... really well done. I am forever impressed with your fun experimenting and great style, Ingrid. Fav.

you're not planning on moving to Manchester by any chance? I could do with someone like you to push me to do cool stuff.

@ingrid2101
2 million of us, and yet I've put the advert out on Model Mayhem, 365, facebook and twitter and I've only got one person. Who doesn't wanna join a club?? You can join it for sure. We're gonna have days out at the seaside, model shoots, industrial shoots, I've got it all planned. It's going alright, but after a week of bad weather Tuesday is forecasted nice so I'm gonna try and get out and make some pictures. You've finished your art course now?

Ooh feels proper eerie! Love it, as usual :-)

@chewyteeth It has finished, boo bloody hoo - I miss it already, got on really well with everyone and loved the atmosphere and buzz but it was just too much, especially the last few weeks - too many 3 a.m. - I have that time to do photography now but I enjoyed the printmaking etc and just having the space and access to amazing equipment.. Think I'll take a year out and do the next part.. kids will be that bit older. Hahha so will I - the eternal student. I suppose an online film club wouldn't be the same ? What are you going to do with your masters? Lots of changes with you too...Phd next !

@ingrid2101

ha ha, no way, 10 years at university and I'm a gardener so the job market doesn't warrant another qualification. Yeah art courses are a great environment. Online film group, nah not the same. we kinda have that on facebook now. Ah well, something good will happen.
